Tadashi Shoji F/W 2018 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Red carpet bombshell glamour and the confidence gracing the stars doing the awards circuit this season. Think Chloë Grace Moretz draped poolside with a non-fat piña colada at the Chateau Marmont.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Jessica Chastain’s shortlist of looks ahead of the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood issue photoshoot.
WEAR IT TO: A Dynasty-themed cocktail party on the Upper East Side.
FIRST READ: Plunging sequinned dresses with thigh-high splits, body-con frocks with lace detail and sleeveless metallic shifts walked in line with the designer’s core playbook, while a floaty lace look with a sweetheart neckline added a bohemian, ballerina vibe to the mix.  
BEST LOOK: An electric blue sequined mini dress ruched at the waist and featuring a cheeky cutout, styled with mismatched jewel earrings and strappy black heels.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: The designer marked a return to his Hollywood roots with a large serve of sequins and sheer patterned lace, with styling kept simple with a bold red lip and an exaggerated side part.
