INSPIRED BY: The frivolity of a state fair in the peak of summer, designer Snyder embraced the idea of a tropical vacation as key behind his latest collection, utilizing a bold color palette to bring vacation vibes to the runway.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Justin Beiber celebrating his shotgun engagement to Hailey Baldwin on a private yacht following an impromptu poolside concert at the Fountainbleau in South Beach.
WEAR IT TO: Feel the wind in your hair aboard the rickety Cyclone Roller Coaster at Luna Park Coney Island, before putting on your shades and heading to catch The Beach Boys at the Ford Amphitheater.
FIRST READ: Hibiscus, palm tree and tropical island prints on button-up shirts with rolled-up sleeves, relaxed-fit blazers and silk varsity jackets gave the collection a preppy, fraternity vibe, while ripped jeans in pastel hues and Champion hoodies – as part of the brand’s collaboration with the sportswear brand – added a dose of streetstyle credibility to the stylish yet athletic mix.
BEST LOOK: A Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas-inspired suit ensemble in olive, worn over a white shirt featuring a fish print, styled with “Snyder” black slides, a white bucket hat and rose-gold colored Aviator sunglasses.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Kangol hats, basketball-style mesh tanks worn under matching shirts, duffle bags with “19” printed on the ends, 70’s tie-dye patterns and Western gingham combined to create a playful collection with a modern edge. Adding to the off-duty feel were the oodles of blue Threes Brewing’s Vliet handed out to attendees before the show, served in bright orange branded koozies.
