INSPIRED BY: The need for pause amid the chaotic 24/7 news cycle. Designer Tom Ford opted to deviate from his signature vampy aesthetic in favor of a gentler collection, centering on slouchy looks with a sharpened focus on tailoring and comfort.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Cindy Crawford celebrating her birthday at Italian hot spot Madeo in Beverly Hills, before skirting the paparazzi and heading to Soho House West Hollywood for a signature Picante de la Casa cocktail.
WEAR IT TO: Make an entrance with swagger as ‘90s dapper police detective Dick Tracy at your bestie’s Mad Men-themed New Year’s Eve shindig at the Minetta Tavern in Greenwich Village.
FIRST READ: Despite claims backstage that he was turning down the volume for fall, it’s important to remember that Ford operates at a higher vixen level than most.
