Zero + Maria Cornejo F/W 2018 – Review
INSPIRED BY: The brand’s dedication to sustainability and local production. Think British model Stella Tennant surrounded by aristocrats while downing gin sours and Scotch quail eggs in a stylish townhouse in Mayfair.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Former Glastonbury devotee Kate Moss hanging up her Hunter rain boots for a live acoustic gig in Shoreditch.
WEAR IT TO: Power drinks with Diane von Fürstenberg at The Pool in the reboot of the historic Four Seasons space within the Seagram building.
FIRST READ: Loose silhouettes, clever draping and a kimono-style wrap dress were offset with silk and velvet separates, with a focus on simplicity and wearability throughout.
BEST LOOK: A tomato red wrap dress with an asymmetrical hemline, worn with a matching pea coat and knee-high flat boots.
EYE-CATCHING ACCENTS: Round-toe midi boots and an exaggerated smoky eye gave the show a 60’s mod vibe, while chunky knits and reworked gingham added to the relaxed, lived-in feel.
OVERHEARD COURTSIDE: “This reminds me of hybrid between Austin Powers and Charlie’s Angels.”
COLOR WHEEL: Tomato red, blue, orange, red, black, navy, cerulean, grey, fuchsia.
