Zimmermann S/S 2018 – Review

INSPIRED BY: Images from the 60’s and 70’s of the Gold Coast in Australia and its evolution from family vacation spot to honeymoon destination to kitschy teen party venue. Titled ‘Goldentime’, the show paid homage to the contrast between the retro facade of the strip versus the fresh nature of the sand and surf beyond.
POP-CULTURE NOD: Amber Heard doing her best to appear ladylike in court ahead of a fierce divorce battle with the troubled Johnny Depp.
WEAR IT TO: A barefoot walk along the beach at sunset with a clear view of Diamond Head while on your honeymoon at the iconic Royal Hawaiian Resort in Waikiki.
FIRST READ: Lacy white frocks and peasant-style off-the-shoulder tops had a distinct boho, gypsy vibe, while tailored dresses in pastel floral prints were fit for a day at the races during spring carnival in Melbourne.
